Jack "Jackie" Herbert Hale, Jr., a dedicated public servant and loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on September 27, 1942, in Pryor, Oklahoma, Jackie lived a life marked by courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his community. From an early age, Jackie possessed a deep sense of duty and joined the United States Navy on October 23, 1961. Serving his country with honor and distinction, he remained in the Navy until September 1, 1965. Jackie's military service instilled in him the values of discipline and selflessness that would guide him throughout his life. After his time in the Navy, Jackie embarked on a career in law enforcement. He dedicated himself to maintaining peace and ensuring safety within his community. In the 1970s, Jackie served as an esteemed member of the Pryor Police Department. His bravery and professionalism were recognized by all who worked alongside him. In pursuit of greater opportunities to make a difference, Jackie transitioned into a role as a criminal investigator for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. With his keen eye for detail and sharp analytical skills, he served tirelessly for over 20 years until his well-earned retirement. As an investigator, he helped bring justice to countless individuals and played an integral role in maintaining law and order. Outside of his professional endeavors, Jackie found immense joy in sharing his life with Judy Hale. On April 19, 1979, they exchanged vows and embarked on a beautiful journey together filled with love, companionship, and shared dreams. For 44 years of marriage, their unwavering bond offered solace and strength through life's ups and downs. Jackie was a man deeply connected to nature's beauty. Spending cherished moments amidst horses and dogs brought him immense happiness. Whether it was tending to them or simply reveling in their presence, he found peace and tranquility in their company. Furthermore, he possessed a remarkable talent for working with his hands and could often be found tinkering around the house. He leaves behind so many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

On Monday, November 27, 2023, friends and loved ones will gather to pay their respects during the visitation at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor, Oklahoma. The visitation will begin at 5:00 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM. A graveside service will take place at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma. Jackie is survived by his wife, Judy Hale of the home; daughters, Jennifer Hodge and husband Lonnie Dean Hodge, Jr. of Pryor, Oklahoma and Priscella Hale of Anadarko, Oklahoma; 1 granddaughter, Sara Hodge; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Hale.
